Spraybooths
The studio Gloo-Booth is specifically designed for use with aerosol adhesives and fixatives or other products with relatively large particulate size.
All Simair Gloo-Booths incorporate high volume suction fans to draw contaminated air away from the vicinity, passing through a series of advanced filters helping to protect the operator and others working within the proximity. Simply lay your artwork face down on the specially designed filter panel, switch on and spray as normal.
Messy overspray and strong solvent odours are drawn into the two separate filtering systems limiting the effects of overspray and allowing clean air to circulate within the working environment.
The Uni-Booth is a multi-purpose spray booth, suitable for numerous workshop, studio and industrial environments where fumes and overspray present a problem.
Based on the highly successful Gloo-Booth and Spray-away machines, the capacious Uni-Booth also incorporates the advanced two filter system featuring a fine non-woven polyester fibre intake filter and a dual activated charcoal secondary filter.
The steel cabinet surround with clear cast acrylic top allows light onto the subject being sprayed and a four position hanging bar to suspend items for spraying is supplied as standard. A removable polypropylene liner is also supplied for easy cleaning.
Typical usage of the Uni-Booth includes alleviation of the problems associated with:
Airbrush and small gun overspray, fixatives, lacquers and varnishes, spray paints, solder fumes, aerosol adhesives, and many more…..
The airbrush Spray-Away quietly and efficiently eliminates the problem of airbrush overspray.
Using our well proven system of suction fans drawing overspray through a series of intake and charcoal filters, the Spray-Away absorbs all types of colour- from water-based inks and dyes to spirit and cellulose-based paints.
Clear acrylic deflectors, coupled with the small dimensions of the machine, allow maximum light onto your work surface whilst occupying little workspace. Units are supplied with G-Clamps for either affixing the machine to a drawing board or alternatively, it can be fitted semi-permanently onto any work surface with fixing screws through the mounting plate. A long power lead is provided to allow flexibility in positioning the machine.
OPTIMISED FILTRATION
Developed by Simair, Gloo-Booths, Spray-Aways and Uni-Booths incorporate an advanced filter system comprising of two separate filters:
The Gloo-Booth initial intake filter is constructed to first provide a high capacity collection area within the top loosely woven layers. The intermediate layer then absorbs the finer particles. The final layer is made of a semi-permeable film that collects micro particles.
The Spray-Away and Uni-Booth both employ thermally bonded, non-woven polyester intake filters to capture the extremely fine particulate materials these units are designed to handle.
The secondary filter is constructed using a high grade activated charcoal impregnated polyester fibre. Activated charcoal has long been recognised as an exceptionally absorbent material to retain vapours and gases within its microporous structure.
Simair have undertaken considerable testing to ensure the optimum balance is achieved between suction velocity and solvent dwell time within the charcoal filter.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
- How often should the filters be replaced?
This depends on use but the general rule of thumb is that the charcoal filter should be replaced every six months, or when solvent odour increases noticeably, and the intake filter should be replaced every one to two months.
- Can the Gloo-Booth be vented to the outside?
Yes, an optional ducted extraction kit (
SA12364) is available for the A1 and A2 size Gloo-Booths, which we recommend be fitted wherever possible to further enhance the Gloo-Booths performance.
- How effective are these machines at removing harmful particles?
Extensive tests have shown that exposure to harmful hydrocarbons could be reduced by up to 95% with filtered solvent gases being around 70% lower, and these figures are based purely on the machines’ suction and filtration performance – when vented to the outside the effectiveness is even higher.
- What happens if my machine develops a fault?
When purchasing this type of equipment it is essential to know what kind of after-sales service you can expect, and we take pride in our ability to provide solutions to any spraybooth related query, so please do not hesitate to
